How To Hide Selected Posts in Blogger from Homepage

Here you can hide your contents under Specific Posts or Specific Labels category from Homepage of Blogger Blogs. So to make your work easy I’ve divided this tutorial in two parts. Which will be so simple for all new beginners too. Lets see how to hide article from homepage on blogger blogs.

Hiding Posts Under Specific Labels in Blogger 

Step 1: Go to Blogger Dashboard >> Templates >> Edit html.

Step 2: Then search for the following code,

<data:post.dateHeader/></h2>
</b:if><b:include data=’post’ name=’post’/>

Step 3: Once you find, just Replace the above four lines with following code added below,

<b:if cond=”data:post.labels == &amp;quot;&amp;quot;”>
<b:if cond=”data:post.dateHeader”>
</b:if></b:if></b:if><br />
<h2 class=”date-header”>

<b:include data=”post” name=”post”>
</b:include>
<b:loop values=”data:post.labels” var=”label”>
<b:if cond=”data:label.isLast”>
<b:if cond=”data:label.name != &amp;quot;&lt;span style=&quot;color: red;&quot;&gt;Your Label Name&lt;/span&gt;&amp;quot;”>
<b:if cond=”data:post.dateHeader”>
</b:if></b:if></b:if></b:loop><br />
<h2 class=”date-header”>
<data:post .dateheader=””></data:post></h2>

Step 4: Then replace “Your Label Name” with specific label which you like to hide from homepage in Blogger. That’s it! You’ve successfully hidden blogger posts under specific label from your blogger.

Hiding Specific Posts on Blogger Blog from Homepage 

Method 1 :

Step 1: Go to Blogger Dashboard >> Templates >> Edit html.

Step 2: Then search for the following code,

Step 3: Once you find just replace the above line with the follwing code given below,

&lt;div class=&quot;date-outer&quot;
<b:if cond=’data:blog.pageType == &quot;index&quot;’>
<b:if cond=’data:blog.searchQuery == &quot;&quot;’>
<b:if cond=’data:blog.searchLabel == &quot;&quot;’>
<b:if cond=’data:post.url == &quot;Your Hiding Post URL&quot;’> style=&#39;display:none;&#39;</b:if>
</b:if>
</b:if>
</b:if>
</div>&gt;

Step 4: Now replace “Your Hiding Post URL” with your blog post link which you like to hide from homepage on Blogger. That’s it!

To hide more than one post then try this,

Step 5: Find </b:if></b:if></b:if></div>&get; and once you find add the below code just above to it,

<b:if cond=’data:post.url == &quot;Your SECOND Post URL&quot;’> style=&#39;display:none;&#39;</b:if>

Step 6: And follow the same procedure you done before and Save your template. Congrats!

Method 2 :

Step 1: Go to Blogger Dashboard >> Templates >> Edit HTML.

Step 2: Then find ]]></b:skin> tag in your blog template and paste the following code just above/before ]]></b:skin> tag,

<style>
<b:if cond=’data:blog.url == … >
# YOUR POST ID {display:none}
</b:if>

Step 3: Now replace “YOUR POST ID” with your blog post ID. If you don’t know how to find your blog Post ID then go till the end of this post.

To hide more than one post you can try this,

Follow the same above procedure for hiding post more than one with this code given below,

<b:if cond=’data:blog.searchLabel == … >
YOUR Second POST ID {display:none}
</b:if>

How To Find Blogger Posts Unique ID

Step 1: Go to Blogger >> Posts.

Step 2: Then choose any post by clicking the Edit button. After clicking it you’ll be redirected to HTML Editor and there just notice or copy the sequence number just after to postID. For example,

https://www.blogger.com/blogger.g?blogID=123562111864636830#editor/target=post;postID=1253623976821023011;onPublishedMenu=allposts;onClosedMenu=allposts;postNum=0;src=link

Then the higlighted part is your Post ID and for the above link my post ID is 1253623976821023011. You can find two ID in one link. The first ID is for blogID and the second one is for PostID. That’s it!
